The new Trump deal makes a Ukrainian E.U membership impossible. In fact, seems deliberately designed to do so. Either that, or Trump is trying to get Ukraine to reject it so he can wash his hands and abandon Ukraine to the Russians completely.

This Trump deal isn't just about Ukraine any more. If this extortion is forced on Ukraine, then they will do the same to the rest of Europe. We must reject this.

Not surprised Holocaust historians are leaving the U.S. There is a reason the Nazis built their extermination camps in occupied places and the countries of allied tyrants. The El Salvador prisons is probably an ugly echo to them that they can't ignore.

Pretty sure what we have seen today is Trump and Putin acting as allies to betray Ukraine and isolate Europe. What seems to have happened is this.
1) The US got Ukraine to agree a Black Sea ceasefire on the idea that if Rus broke it, the US would put more sanctions on Rus.

Russia presents its demands as concessions and then presses more demands and calls them guarantees of the first set. Ukraine understands this dynamic all too well. If Trump is Ru asset or an idiot, at least the free Western media can learn to cover things with their real names.

🇺🇸😡 Now the Americans are saving the Russians. Saving them from final defeat in the Black Sea. Saving their refineries and other energy infrastructure. As a bonus, they are starting to lift sanctions so that the Russians have more money for the war. This is untying the hands of the aggressor.

As the Trump administration rushes to appease Putin, Russian attacks on Ukraine intensify. Ukraine is banned from hitting Russian energy sites, while Putin gets promises of sanctions relief and bombs cities like Kryvyi Rih. This isn’t peace—it’s surrender to terror.

As a result of the negotiations in Saudi Arabia, only Ukraine made concessions.
As soon as we started destroying the enemy's oil infrastructure, the Russians suddenly needed a truce. As long as the refineries weren't burning, they didn't want negotiations.1/2

Trump knows this ceasefire will not hold. The Russians will break it. He is merely setting up Ukraine to eventually blame the end of the ceasefire on them.

Today Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania remember victims of Soviet mass deportations in 1949. Tens of thousands of innocent people were deported to Siberia, many perished there. Communist crimes against humanity shall never be forgotten.

Witkoff's repeating of Kremlin lies about "russian-speakers" wanting to "join Russia" is truly chilling. This is nothing less than carte blanche for Putin's genocidal imperialism. Hearing Americans talk like this should be an electric shock for Europe, not a wakeup call.
