Former candidate for Tennessee Senate. Ham radio operator.

"Just vaguely problematic."
I used to live in this congressional district, I think.

This country.

Business services that claim to be "powered by innovation" are pretty much just the same as every other business service, but with AI chatbots instead of real customer support.

My mission in life is to make "Baby Billy's Bible Bonkers" but with questions about civics and American politics.

This is totally not just the pitch for Family Feud, btw.

Binging "The RIghteous Gemstones", because I'm precisely the sort of person who enjoys "Christian-themed monster truck smashing an outhouse at the militia compound"

I don't want to diminish the fact that Jon Ossoff is running a hard race and will need every bit of help he gets (smash that donate button), but if the entire Georgia GOP's campaign pitch is "His dad was a good coach for UGA years decades ago, also Trump!" then I think the Republicans might lose.
The candidate for US Senate endorsed by Gov. Brian Kemp didn’t vote for 20 years, including the 2016 & 2020 presidential elections. apnews.com/article/dere...

In the year Two Thousand and Epstein, it's a bit awkward to make a Woody Allen reference, but this reminds me of the Marshall McLuhan scene in "Annie Hall."
This website has the juice.

This would be like ESPN having a headline that Drake Maye is the quarterback for Seattle.

Come on, @c-span.bsky.social.

Can't say I'm always Horns Up on the University, but I am 100 percent proud of being an ex-staffer for the Daily Texan.

This kid might win a Pulitzer some day.
Yet another example of predators hiding in academia.

This is an excellent report by The Daily Texan and student Justin Doud.

Former professor Thomas Hubbard appears in the Epstein files asking for $10,000 to set up a conference meant to challenge the notion of consent and sexual assault.

One thing I am waiting to see is the "invisible primary" among Republican insiders to determine who will get picked to finish out Marsha Blackburn's Senate term. (I'm for any Democrat, but I certainly expect that the Tennessee GOP believes they will hold the Tennessee governor seat).

I am absolutely furious that I didn’t get to see the gay pornography portion of Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.

I’m calling on the FCC to investigate immediately: NBC must be held accountable.

Andy's in his flop era.
House Democrats believe weak fundraising and ethics issues for Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles and Florida Rep. Cory Mills could put the typically safe red districts in play.

Assuming this is serious, and not just trolling -- How is this not plainly solicitation of a bribe?

I say "assuming this is not just trolling" because, if this were a bribe offer, why the hell would a lawyer say it in public?

To reject the US as a fundamentally American country with a deep shared history and commonality with the rest of the Americas, including that Spanish has long been our de facto national second language, is on a deep level anti-American. It's hating actual American culture and history and tradition.

In a parallel universe, TPUSA is doing something awesome like staging an alternative football game so we don't have to watch Patriots-Seahawks (again).

But in our universe, they're just a bunch of cringe reactionary grifters who can't stand watching a cool metrosexual Puerto Rican for 15 minutes.

Marsha Blackburn pledges to watch the Kid Rock TPUSa show instead of Bad Bunny.

Not sure if she is just pandering to racists, or genuinely has really bad taste in music.

In either case this is one of the most embarrassing things she's ever done, and that's saying something.

I want to emphasize this was considered the normal in this century. This was still true less than 20 years ago.
It's great but I wonder how much this is an indicator that vote splitting still occurs rather than a true partisan shift.

It used to be very common for southerners to vote solid R nationally and solid D locally. That fell by the wayside. Maybe it's due for a comeback?
