The Nobel Committee is going to send a photo like this to the White house, with a caption "Does this look like peace to you?"
As other countries move into the future, we're just going to replay 1850 to 2000 on an infinite loop. Maybe even replay the Civil war

In serious countries that are actual democracies, strong mainstream parties force members who do stuff like this to resign, & far right authoritarian parties that do this are shunned from government. Here in 🇺🇸, one of our two parties has collapsed into far right authoritarianism. So neither happens.
This is an egregiously shameful tweet from a US senator

Kind of thought refusing to release innocent people while simultaneously continuing to pardon guilty people might cause a bigger stir in the press.

President Trump 2.0 has openly committed more impeachable abuses of power than all prior presidents combined, including Trump 1.0.

The question isn’t whether he should be impeached, convicted, and removed from office but whether Republicans have the guts to do their job.

This is why fascism is for losers. It is the last gasp of a group of ideologues who realize that they've already lost the future and have nothing to lose by burning it all down. Everything made more sense when I realized that a few years ago. Fascists are residual culture that refuse to go away.

Donald Trump is a lunatic. But what’s worse than that is every single Republican elected who has the power to push him out of office right now is sitting on their hands. Impeach. Convict. Now.
On the phone call, Trump “told Mr. Trudeau that he did not believe that the treaty that demarcates the border between the two countries was valid and that he wants to revise the boundary. He offered no further explanation.” 🇨🇦

Just a quick observation that amid all the turmoil created by the Zelensky meeting, this got completely ignored: A Chinese citizen paid Trump $50 million for the SEC to drop its charges against him.
BREAKING

The SEC has just halted its fraud prosecution of Justin Sun, a Chinese national who has put more than $50 million in Trump's pocket since November through the purchase of crypto tokens from a Trump-backed company, World Liberty Financial.

Trump and Vance act as if the problem is that Ukraine is resisting an ongoing Russian invasion. The problem is the ongoing Russian invasion. If they want to use American power to stop the war, apply it to the aggressor. Abusing the victim is not going to end a war of aggression.
