After many days in the shop, Music Computer has been rebuilt! 32gb RAM, 4TB of storage, it's really fast and really spacious!! Now I just have to reinstall all my programs and VSTs. Probably a good time to pare down to what I use regularly...

This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.
Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer is the one ending this shutdown, no matter how the votes read.

I think people want AI to be useless, to consume huge amounts of water, etc. because that lets you find another reason for it to be bad that isn’t: it’s useful and that’s why it’s bad. The thing works and is getting better, millions have found use cases for it, and that is why it is bad.
