I know every year has so much loss and suffering, but this year is feeling extremely brutal and seems to be impacting myself and my close circles harder than other years.

Besties are #cat sitting while we're away and the photo/video updates are keeping my anxious brain sane. He is apparently being a total angel for them about taking his hidden-in-food meds, which is the opposite of how he acted all week while we tried to get him used to taking them that way 🥲

I want to love "cozy fantasy" and "romantasy" and they seem like lit subgenres I WOULD love, but unfortunately almost every book I've read that's marketed under those subgenres I've found to contain underdeveloped worldbuilding/plots and mostly insufferable characters 🫠

Feeling very besieged lately! My usually endless stores of optimistic whim have been depleted! Feeling kinda assailed by comprehensible man-made horrors! There is a chink in the armor of my silliness and life exploits it! My cup no longer runneth over, which bodes ill for me, indeed! Alas, we ball!
