The fact that the thing we're calling artificial intelligence *can't do math* and yet we're jamming it into programs that successfully *have done math* for decades, then warning people against using the AI to do math, seems like an excellent summary of where we are.
Good thing no one uses Microsoft Excel for anything related to legal, regulatory or compliance business functions

I'm glad to see St. Lawrence University on this list. Kid #2 is making college decisions right now. This kind of stuff matters.
Good to see Rutgers and Georgetown supporting this effort.

Lots of liberal arts colleges and Catholic universities.

Ivies remain AWOL. Embarrassing.

Like, I cannot understate how fundamental the CVE process is to modern cybersecurity. I have my critiques of how they do certain things, but they are one of the most important resources out there for people doing the kind of work I do. And trust me, you want people doing the kind of work I do.

Yet another typically quiet, yet core service critical to our national and global security.
BREAKING.

From a reliable source. MITRE support for the CVE program is due to expire tomorrow. The attached letter was sent out to CVE Board Members.

I want you to understand how unusual the moves were today.

Before Trump announced a pause, there was HUGE $QQQ volume on a 460C expiring 04/17.

They were bought for $0.85 and ran to as high as $31 per contract!!!

This was before any news.

Later in the day, it rallied 2000% in ten minutes.

Alright, I think people knew of the tariff pause and traded it beforehand.

You can see before Trump posted "buy" on Truth Social, traders opened $QQQ $TQQQ and $SPY calls

RIGHT BEFORE THE NEWS, someone opened $SPY 509 calls, expiring TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those calls are up 2100% in one hour.

The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that they’re not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.

1. Everyone advising Trump on trade policy is whacked.
2. We've pissed off all of our allies, so they won't be buying weapons from us.
3. Congress needs to intervene, pronto.
New statement from CEA Chair Stephen Miran, whose work people used to drum up the "Mar-A-Lago Accord" idea.

This is deeply unhinged stuff. Of the ideas presented, one (1) is helpful to rebalance the global economy (more defense spending by other countries).
