I don't know my Bluesky personality yet. Give it time. Probably baseball, books, movies and music like it was over there though

If Vance is the 2028 nominee this clip should run over and over from whoever is running against him
Reporter: Do you plan to apologize to the family of Alex Pretti?

Vance: For what?

Is the argument that individuals are supposed to be kind to strangers but if the individuals are part of the government they can be as cruel as they want to be? That doesn't seem to be a very good argument
Apparently the “biblical case for border security” is just that the moral precepts of the bible aren’t specifically and expressly addressed to Westphalian states
Speaking on behalf of a religion that actively sought to spread itself to every country in the world whether invited or not, Speaker Johnson would like to share with you the Biblical case for strong borders.

The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades is Out to Get Us! - Sufjan Stevens
Deleted a post about “what’s your least favorite song” because the vibes are bad enough already.

Instead: what’s your favorite song that has a long title, say at least 6 words long?

Mine: “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” (Pearl Jam)

I read And the Dragons Will Come: Raising a Transgender Kid in Rural Alabama by Sim Butler. I don't know Sim and Kate but they are friends of friends and it makes me furious and sad that our state was not a safe place for them. #RootRootRead

Yep
I saw someone on here say that Democrats won't even take their own side in an argument and it has really stuck with me
With only 59 votes in, enough Democrats have joined Republicans in support of cloture that we can confirm the bill will become law in a form harsher than when first introduced.

This makes perfect sense when you remember that evangelicals don't consider Catholics Christian
Trump's evangelical base is commending him for his “steadfast commitment to religious liberty” at a time when Trump is denying Catholic detainees the Eucharist & is recommending the confirmation of notorious anti-Catholic bigot Mark Walker as International Religious Freedom ambassador-at-large.
