the national guard is not a free anti-federal government win button. in fact it is an Insurrection Act and/or civil war button. if you press that button you better know what comes next. that would be not just the national guard or ICE or FBI, but the actual military, authorized to kill.

If the Israelis think a post-mullah Iran will unconditionally support them, I think they are very mistaken. At least all the Iranians I know want there to be a two-state solution with a Palestinian state. My closest Iranian friend despises all religious fanatics, including the West Bank settlers.
