I've been writing again for the magazine, celebrating the one and only Tom Baker MBE! It was such an honour to be a tiny part of a very special day, thanks to dear friends.

We're calling for submissions to the Black Archive from disabled authors and authors of colour, who we know have been underrepresented in the range.

Please spread this as widely as you can, as we want it to reach as many eligible authors as possible. Thank you.

Pretty sure it's this. 2012 was five lifetimes ago.

In composing the cue “Spock” for The Wrath of Khan, James Horner employed a glass harmonica to sound suitably strange and alien; but the harmonica was invented by Benjamin Franklin - the only American invention in the orchestra for that film.
Ok folks: what is your favorite fact that you share with people (maybe a bit too) eagerly?

I am so enjoying Richard Holmes‘s ace biography of the young Tennyson: The Boundless Deep. Like this moment when geeky readers wrote in to challenge his poetic error about the way railways work… ♥️

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.
