Leonard should have stayed with the Raptors. With them, he had a chance of winning 1 or 2 more championships.

Why James Harden's tenure -- and an era -- is over with the Clippers
The Harden trade was a mutual recognition as much as an admission -- that the 11-time All-Star had a better chance to win elsewhere, and a tumultuous era in LA was effectively over.

My essay on socialism after AI has triggered quite a debate - so much so that I wrote a much longer second essay. That same issue of The Ideas Letter also contains two lengthy responses to my original piece www.theideasletter.org/essay/the-so...

I'm not sure how much such a poll is worth. We're a long way from a referendum campaign and the dynamics of campaigns can have their own logic.

I think the CAQ is dead beyond resuscitating. Drainville is seeking to raise his public profile before moving to some radio poubelle or the J de Québec or both.

Well, there are far worst ways to spend a day.

Westad is always worth reading, I think. But I wonder if the pre-1914 period really is the most apt comparison with today, if only because of the differences in rhe nature of war.

Well there goes the social capital he gained at Davos, at least in Québec. I'd like to know which skilled group of advisors wrote this speech for him.

Quite frankly, it’s outrageous that Mark Carney is cutting Statistics Canada. If he was Stephen Harper or Pierre Poilievre, I feel like this would be getting a lot more backlash.

I can't imagine anyone in their right mind wanting to take over the CAQ at this point. All Legault's ministers are probably scrambling for parachutes.

This was predictable, though I thought he would wait a bit longer. His political legacy will be one of failure. Aside from managing the COVID pandemic fairly well, It's difficult to point to anything positive that the CAQ govt had done. Good riddance.

Overdue, but I doubt it'll the outcome of the next election. The whole #CAQ cabinet is just as reviled.
