We’ve known the problem. We’ve tested the solutions. Now scale them. I contributed to this piece on closing the digital gender gap—affordability + skills + norm change + design that includes women from day one.

Proud to contribute to this DevelopmentAid expert view. Bottom line: without gender-responsive policy, digitalization deepens gaps. With it, we unlock skills, markets, and agency for millions of women. Time to act.

I guess there is no need to make a movie based on Lewis's 'It can't happen here'. It is just a reality show now.

The PM should invite Mark Carney for an official visit and address to Parliament before Trump’s visit.

It would show Britain backs Canada against Trump’s damaging trade war. Now is the time to stand with the Commonwealth, not stand in Trump’s shadow like Nigel Farage.

Trump may well achieve his goal of reducing the US trade deficit, but via the worst possible way: engineering recession at home and removing America’s and USD’s status as trusted safe haven. It would be a poorer, hostile nation but with trade surplus. Sort of like Russia. Some win.

No doubt the good citizens of the Heard & McDonald Islands are alarmed by the 10% US tariff on their exports👇

Current inhabitants; the southern elephant seals, Antarctic fur seals, Leopard seals 🦭🦭🦭

Humans: 0 (unless David Attenborough is visiting this week) 🤷🏻‍♂️

Quoted in the FT today about prospects for a UK-US deal. The UK has offered a lot and seemingly got nothing- which doesn't mean there won't be opportunities in the future.

New, from me:
Elon Musk is the biggest loser in Wisconsin.

His brazen effort to buy a state supreme court did not just fail - it undermined his image of political kingmaker.

This is the clearest indicator that voters are angry with Trump/Musk agenda.

Great essay on the decline of US soft power by Joseph Nye.

"[Trump] is so obsessed with the problem of free riders that he forgets that it has been in America’s interest to drive the bus."

Trump also doesn't consider that riders may take another bus, car share, or bike. The world is not static.
