A note to applicants to PhD student positions. Do not write it with ChatGPT. We still read the applications ourselves and it takes about 30s to figure out if it's by ChatGPT.

This can’t be good

:) Read the definition then - "resource constraints" -> not enough chicken fillet. Chicken fillet is a resource; dangerously low in the fridge is a constraint. :)

Food insecurity is when I’m not sure whether the chicken fillet in the fridge that’s allocated to the cat will be enough for this evening’s and tomorrow morning’s serving or should I go to the shops right now. Because running out of it is not an option.

You might want to delve into this paper. I want to underscore, that's a joke you'll comprehend only with meticulous reading of it.

A good illustration from Sweden of how military scale-up is not a problem you can simply throw money at:

The Swedish defence forces are paying back 2.1bn Swedish crowns (€1.9 million) to the state budget as they were unable to use all the money allocated to the defence budget
