Do any of you have some work-life balance tips? This particular job of mine really saps my energy for the day physically and I'm usually unable to go to gym or draw. Are coffee and sleep the only answers?

I am better than I was a month ago but still struggling. Trying to balance resistance + work + normal life. I wonder if I will ever be caught up on dishes and laundry again. I haven't read any books this year. but I am less brain foggy. And getting nominally better at cooking again.

Americans are emigrating here and to New Zealand in droves apparently, because of better work/life balance and our Anglophone tendencies. That and the absence of lawless killers in masks and SUVs on the streets, masquerading as government employees.

There is time in life for work, time spent with family, time spent with friends, and time devoted to community and public activities. I believe it is important to maintain a balance among these different kinds of time.

It's my dream job! It ticks all the major boxes for work-life balance, cuisine, culture of work, weather, fantastic co-workers, a culture that values my non-traditional style of research, clear definition of tenure requirements, rent-controlled and market-controlled housing options, and more.

I havent heard anyone talk about this series. These are some thick volumes, not a fan of the readability of it. That being said the story is interesting as the title says she literally jumps down a well to die cuz of overwork and it so funny that in "death" she finds work-life balance 🥴

any time a successful indie game is made by someone with a totally unhealthy relationship to work and no work/life balance it just creates that expectation for everyone else. you can't make an art scene off of people who are isolating and torturing themselves with work

any time a successful indie game is made by someone with a totally unhealthy relationship to work and no work/life balance it just creates that expectation for everyone else. you can't make an art scene off of people who are isolating and torturing themselves with work

This week is the first week since the start of August I have not worked multiple jobs. I did not realize how utterly exhausted I was until I went to bed two nights ago.

Keeping my tasks between personal and work items completely separated (even as far as using an entirely different application) has helped keep that work/life balance, but also not feel overwhelmed with looking at a combined list of the two.
