Keeping my tasks between personal and work items completely separated (even as far as using an entirely different application) has helped keep that work/life balance, but also not feel overwhelmed with looking at a combined list of the two.

There is no better feeling than cleaning up your local files/models/plugins...etc no matter what it is.

Every so often, your servers and workstations need a cleaning as well.

META set out a patent to have AI post...etc as you based on your past behavior? Yeah...

Hard pass LOL!

I have listened to most of the books on the Darknet Diaries list, and then some — in Audiobook format.

Currently I am reading Permanent Record, which has been great so far.

Any other tech related books anyone recommend?

It's really disturbing how frequently major companies are getting breached, resulting in massive data leaks with no punishment.

At what point do these companies be made liable for the damage they are causing their customers.

Do you run local AI models on your machine?

Which ones do you prefer?

I’m running:

qwen3-coder:30b (Primary coding model)

deepseek-r1:14b (Used for complex logic and bugs)

devstral-small-2 (Used for more technical sysadmin related items)

Did anyone else notice that Apple seems to have added Smart Script to the Freeform app in iPadOS 26.3, just like it has been on Apple Notes?

It's weird, it doesn't do it all the time, and there doesn't seem to have a toggle setting like notes does though...

I've been using Warp terminal for quite some time now, and really love the features it has. I do disable the AI functionality though as I do not need it, and have terminal AI integrated in other ways.

I do have an itch to try something else though...

Starting a completely fresh Obsidian vault, with all of 1 theme, and 3 plugins installed, is the way to go.

Trying to not overcomplicate it by painting my toolbox per-say. I find myself using it a lot more when things work as they were intended, with minor touches.

Been loving the Hak5 Pineapple Pager.

These payloads that the community have already put out is impressive. Don’t even get me started on some of these detailed themes!

Why are weekends so short...

Seriously though, who decided/opted-in for a 5 day work week and 2 off days.

I have to say, I have been using Gemini and Grok a lot more than ChatGPT lately...and it has been...great 😲

How many of you use your iPads on a daily basis?

And outside of media consumption, what do you primarily use it for?

Just curious :-)

Obsidian CLI...

Ohhhl...I like this @obsidian.md ;-)

Setup consistent keyboard shortcuts for most of my apps that have sidebars that I'd like to hide/show.

So now ⌘[ and ⌘] hides/shows left/right sidebars in Drafts, Obsidian, Things, Mail...etc

Definitely easier to use when they're all the same across the board.

Unboxing the US edition of my book Ctrl+Alt+Chaos! The story of the Vastaamo hack and what it tells us about teenagers and cybercrime. I have 20 signed copies to give away! Happy to post anywhere in the world. Just say #CtrlAltChaos in the comments and I will get in touch. Thx @htpbooks.bsky.social

Apple really needs to find a solution to updating watchOS lol Ultra 3 showing 18hrs - 3 days is ridiculous.

I created an action in Drafts that sends the active draft to your Telegram bot. I used to use "Send to Saved Messages" all the time but didn't like how it required me to hit "enter" to actually send the message.

If this is useful to you, Enjoy!

I will say...I love the haptics on the MX Master 4.

I really wish they did away with more of the rubber material though, as that has been proven to get gross after time.

I don’t see how people don’t like/care to use AI. It is a very handy and powerful tool. It should be used exactly as that though…a tool.
