The only semblance of virtue I can see in Trump is glory. But it is VAINglory, and therefore utterly vicious. He is not willing to do great things to achieve glory (which is what makes glory in any sense virtuous). He will do anything to be honored, except sacrifice anything of himself.

I don't know if I've fully internalised it, myself. vainglory is a fault it's hard to be rid of, particularly when it serves as a crutch as the poem suggests. but I recall and I weep.
