I'm not a holocaust denier, and yes, there were brilliantly successful active undergrounds in Poland. But is modern Poland a haven for Jews? It's a country of about 37 million people, and a core Jewish population of 9,000. Wouldn't more Jews live in Poland if it were welcoming? l1nq.com/FfBf9

Yes, it's not a new thing sadly. I always think that at the same time that Germany was building undergrounds/fast and frequent suburban trains in all its large cities (and keeping its trams), the UK was not doing any of that, and getting rid of trams instead.

As someone who has taken a lot of undergrounds/ metros/ subways: the New York subway is absolutely fine. Sometimes the signage could be better, but it’s fine.
