The order I made from Graeme’s Etsy shop, marswasrubbish, of a UFO (which looks very architectural and church-like) hovering over Sconser in Skye. It’s a beautiful black and white “photo” with lighting effects suggesting the UFO belongs in this landscape.

Lots of reasons. I once saw a Royal Navy sub surface off the coast of Skye. I was quite surprised, they’re really big in real life. It turned out the Captain wanted a round of Golf at the 9 hole-course near the Sconser Lodge Hotel.

Did a 2.5 hour sea watch off Sconser this morning. 1 juvenile Sabine’s Gull, 15 Arctic Skuas, 7 Great Skuas and a White-tailed Eagle that almost landed on my car 😮

After a very good distillery tour & tasting of whiskies & gin, we headed to the restaurant & enjoyed a really fantastic meal.

Looking out across the sound to Skye as the sun set, I had scallops & venison, my wife had lamb, all locally sourced & cooked to perfection

In 1983 when I was young we were on holiday at Sconser Lodge in Skye. A sub turret appeared offshore and that evening the crew were given an hour or so under w/o supervision in the hotel bar. They were extremely oily and got hammered very quickly. Das Boot reminds me of that evening

Mary's parents came from #Skye but were living in Glasgow in 1939. When war broke out, the children of the family were evacuated to Portree to live with relatives.
