Blair Witch as well, seeing a 70mm version 2001 on a proper big screen was absolutely amazing and the weirdest was the first time I watched Blade Runner, it was in the cinema on a ferry from Rosslare to Cherbourg during a force 9 gale. The cinema was right up in the bow so that was an experience
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

"Rosslare Europort has seen a more than six-fold increase in direct European sailings since Brexit, with many freight and delivery companies shifting from using the UK land bridge to more direct sea routes with the European Union."

Interesting interview with Stena Line CEO, says Rosslare road infra is unsuitable for freight so they pulled Cherbourg route, electricity cx at ports for 2030 not on track, 50% of revenue comes from Irish Sea, & that Russians are jamming & spoofing in Baltic Sea.

Rosslare Europort are to submit a planning application to build the country's largest offshore renewable energy hub.

The facility would make Rosslare Harbour into the country's primary base for the construction, operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms. jrnl.ie/6892279

Sorry, yes didn’t mean to be so dismissive, but there isn’t much evidence as yet of post fledging attachment. I was on ferry from Rosslare to Bilbao in late August this year and last year and there was almost a constant stream of juvenile large gulls flying south with almost no adults evident.

There is an Entire housing estate in Rosslare strand which is completely empty for most of the year. Probably 100s more around the country. It is a disgrace.

There's no funding to reopen the Waterford-Wexford/Rosslare. The All-Island Rail Review recommended reopening this. It's only been closed since 2010 and is being maintained. Would have been huge for regional development.

As soon as the brexit vote result was known, the same studies behind the pre brexit presentations to EU27 kick started a few initatives.

One of the biggest was bypassing the britain to EU.

A plethora of new sea routes directly to the rest of the EU from Ireland was established.

In the late '60s/early '70s CIÉ - Córas Iompair Éireann the state transport authority, issued timetables with some stylish graphic designed covers such as this Winter 69/70 #railway timetable. The map shows that the massive closures hadn't quite finished. #graphicdesign #ireland

(My beautiful dream: ferry routes to every major port in northern Europe from Dublin, Rosslare, and Cork, at a cabin rate cheaper than the equivalent airfare. We'll not get that without soaking the net worth individuals to subsidise it.)

Okay, when you get into the details for the Irish project, we are getting sea defences funded between Dublin and Rosslare. So upgraded East Coast infrastructure.

Not really my idea of helping create a more competitive Single Market.

GO WEST!
