Pre-assembly of biomolecular condensate seeds drives RSV replication - Nature
Viral ribonucleoprotein–viral protein networks form pre-replication centres that nucleate viral factories and drive respiratory syncytial virus replication.

Recurring Crises in Psychology

"The current responses to the replication crisis, although valuable, are not ultimate solutions because they deflect fundamental questions and postpone the reconsideration of the ideals of psychology as a science."

Dynamic DnaA–DnaB interactions at oriC coordinate the loading and coupled translocation of two DnaB helicases for bidirectional replication
Abstract. Bidirectional replication is a conserved principle requiring coordinated translocation of the two replicative helicases loaded at the origin. In

The FORRT Replication Database has received a massive overhaul (FReD 2.0): We double-coded and validated all data from scratch and extended it in the course of a one-year-partnership with the @cos.io. We just switched to a faster interface thanks to @lukaswallrich.bsky.social’s wizardry.

Dear Colleagues,

Delighted to share that our first lab paper is now published in Nature.!!! 😊😊😊

We identify a previously concealed “safety limit” in DNA replication program: cells intrinsically rate-limit PCNA via PAF15, shaping strand-specific and global replication dynamics.

👉 rdcu.be/e1bBt
PAF15–PCNA exhaustion governs the strand-specific control of DNA replication
Nature - PCNA–PAF15 has a key role in determining replisome dynamics during genome replication and protecting against genome instability.

This is a near 1-1 replication of this cut from CCA.

I believe the original key animation was done by Mitsuo Iso and Hidetoshi Omori.

Important insight. In a world with all near zero imprecisely-estimated effect sizes, decline would be observed merely because of the convenience of coding originals in the same direction to compare effect size shifts in the aggregate.

How much does it bias systematic replication projects? Good Q!
New draft: "Decline effects, statistical artifacts, and a meta-analytic paradox". In this manuscript I show how a common practice in meta-analysis (eg the 2015 Open Science Collaboration) creates artifactual signatures of poor scientific behavior. PDF: raw.githubusercontent.com/richarddmore... 1/x

Are UAP Robotic Probes? Avi Loeb and the Von Neumann Probe Hypothesis - The statistically favored “visitor” isn’t biology in a cockpit but autonomous machines, and the only strategy that scales is replication. FULL STORY: medium.com/@timventura/...

The reason the “robotic probe” idea keeps resurfacing in UAP conversations isn’t because of a dramatic video clip — it’s because of the…

The challenges of replication in science are real and important.

But these require serious thought and examination of previous attempts to elucidate the extent of the problems and their causes, not glib statements and naive ideas about how to address the issues.

Look, I don’t know what happened to Epstein, but why the replication crisis?
Val Kilmer, 2008: “I expressed interest in visiting you since I know how unpleasant the circumstances are and that people become shy sometimes when they should be reaching out. I hope this is your current email and that you are allowing this to let you
grow. God bless, Val Kilmer”

The juxtaposition with immigrants is nefarious.

Basic scientists don't perform clinical trials. The drugs used are available and combination therapy will be tested after replication and more details. Dose, pharmacokinetics will come next in a small phase 1 trial.

One of the key advantages of digital media is perfect replication of the underlying data.
sure, different screens would display an image differently, to which I counter that the exact same portrait under different lighting conditions also differs in appearance, anyway,

NFTs were really fucking dumb

We've all heard about the replication crisis in psychology. But psychologists have been calling "crisis" for as long as the discipline has been around. Ali Teymoori and I look at this history and what it means for today's crisis. #philsky doi.org/10.1177/1089...

Anyone talking about culture wars is an embarrassment, and best ignored. A variety of boyos have been encouraging a replication of Trump’s America in the north/Northern Ireland but it will not work. If anything it’s accelerating the desire for change.🤷🏻‍♀️

to be fair the assignment is to draw a diagram of DNA replication, transcription, and translation using only basic shapes + clip art, so i could see struggling if you take that as an instruction to make a super polished product

but. umm. i was pretty explicit that it's *not* supposed to be polished
