#questgiver
1: slowly walk to a location
2: get a quest
3: go through four loading screens to get to the next area
4: go through those four loading screens again to get back to the questgiver

If you're lucky, you only have to do this once. Some go up to six repetitions of the formula.

9. It takes a LOOOONG time for experienced 5e players to get past a breadcrumb-NPC-nose-leading play style. Even months in, I can see my PCs sometimes look for a Questgiver Who Will Tell Them What To Do. The closest thing I have to that are rumor tables (and of course factions).

If anyone is looking to get an easy pet, there's a world quest called "Witchy Kitchen" up in Waycrest Manor on US servers right now. All you need to do is go to the quest mobs and let them beat on you until they drop the questgiver NPC.

The quest isn't always up, so go get it now or risk waiting.

it sucks, because I am enjoying Arc Raiders, without wanting to talk about, or recommend it to anyone. Also it is absolutely not a game where *any* VO is necessary, and in fact I click through it all as quickly as possible (it's all just questgiver gumph where you just want to know what to do)..

The main premise of Lahayne's story is she's playing the questgiver/mentor role for multiple adventuring parties, so they pop in to give updates on their adventures while she's dealing with politics and fallout of normal adventurer antics. Plus not all of her former teammates retired like her.

Who's your party's MVP NPC? That legendary shopkeeper, snarky guide, or suspiciously helpful questgiver? #ttrpg #dnd #ttrpgcommunity

While I do like the game one of the most bizarre things about Atelier Resleriana RW for me is that they got rid of the cute chibi icons indicating a character event in town. Like I'm happy there's so many events this time around but why does it have to look like a WoW questgiver on the map...

A questgiver! Most fortunate!

#CrazyGameIdea "DIY Quest" - A social network game where players write simple real life quests to share with others. People who complete the quest record themselves doing so, earning points for both the participant and the questgiver.

That sheep's the ShB questgiver for one of the custom deliveries! It's also my favorite Crystarium NPC

Fun Fact: This was meant to be a simple design of a more mature water mage

Decided to roll with the "Retired Adventurer Questgiver" route with her

Though she is super SFW and NSFW friendly, I wouldn't mind getting more stuff of her in general.

I got to Legion alchemy and uhhhh... Is this supposed to happen?? I'm doing the profession quests and Khadgar was standing at the door after a cutscene, the questgiver was also glitched. I took a closer look at him and Khadgar just went and died infront of me. XDDDDDDD

if nothing compelling results from an npc getting wiped out then I don't know that I see the value in allowing it. if I kill Quentin Questgiver (or it's the type of game where he might get carried away by an eagle or whatever) & there's no path forward than what's the point of giving me that option?
Hive mind.. whats the general thoughts on allowing players to brick their games by letting them kill NPCs? Are folk ok with that? any smart examples where it is recoverable?

I need a cottage in some fog-covered Scottish moor to just cast spells and shit.

With a decent internet connection. Gotta know who deserves curses and who gets a boon.

Maybe a little light-up exclamation point near the chimney, so locals know when I need crap done. I think I'd be a fun questgiver.

I'm so glad you love it! I'm one of Kent's original players for Questgiver and it has been an absolute blast. So glad it's reaching more people!

Me: Oh, hey, it turns out Outer Worlds is pretty good, and it doesn't appear to be riddled with a million bugs like most Obsidian games.

Five minutes later: Oh hey this quest won't resolve and I can turn it in infinitely to the questgiver, getting full quest rewards after every 5 second dialogue.

At first I was like "he's kind of young in this maybe it's before he did his thing" but when you're learning about him from a questgiver, she explicitly mentions him having done the experiments, so no.

Also, since the events of the book are canon...

I can imagine one coded so turning the quest-get scene into an horribly uncomfortable conversation between the questgiver and the MC.

"Alright, here."
"What do you mean?"
"We already have the money"
"WHAT"
"So, do you want it or not?"
"I wasnt... Just... Let me breath and digest this, ok"

Anyone else ship the questgiver for the junction box quest in the Well and the Trade Authority lady she hates? Because I do.

I want to make a website that like viscerally makes people not want to contact me

We doin The Odyssey shit over here. I'm a questgiver

The party befriended a (useless) png that was just a middle age questgiver who carried goods with his cart. Later they needed a cart for inventory holding and so he become employee then friend then “stepdad” for a young elf then lover of the dwarfette.

no one seems to understand how to do the questgiver model outside of using VAN to cut turf and write rap sheets, and that's a problem
