Am I losing it or is this actually the only way to set a local variable to a specific value in Shooting Game Builder without going through a global variable first? Like don't get me wrong this absolutely works but surely this isn't right.

It really is so wild how Arkhouse seems to have completely stopped giving a shit after starting to use AI. Like the last Saturn Quest was just waiting puzzles and this shit looks like Valis with no gameplay literally what's the point?
