Update: with a 98% vote of approval, NSLU has ratified their first contract with New Seasons Market. The union has ended their call for a boycott and avoided a strike during the holiday season. Full story to come in @nwlaborpress.org
NSLU won a $19/hr starting wage for clerks, a massive win in the local grocery industry. Fred Meyer starts at around $17 & non-union New Seasons are at $18 (tho we will see if the company raises those stores). The two sides were FAR away on economics as late as Dec 4.

Yeah that broke my heart because between them I absolutely think BIS DX is the reissue that had more care into making it new. All NSMBUDX has is an easy mode character and the already existing NSLU DLC included, and it gets viral memes that blow up about a design that isn't even in the game.

New Seasons used to be a good employer. They are now crazy expensive AND terrible to workers. Their labor union has been asking customers to boycott, and I signed on and remain committed, despite it being my closest grocer. Reading the NSLU bargaining news is enraging: www.nslu.org/july-23

now yes I could've just replayed every level in NSLU normally & hit the big red M block each time but where's the fun? I wanna be Mario man
and doing it this way means I can play NSMBU levels with Luigi physics (which doesn't present any issues afaik atm)
