Which has been nice, focusing more on the communal aspect of creation with likeminded people. It beats doomscrolling x3

an acquaintance posted their new oil painting for sale and it looks like the most obvious AI art I've ever seen and like, tracing AI with paint is wild to me. At no point did they think "Wow, these proportions are WILD and make no sense" and try to correct things that are amateur-hour gen AI tells?

AI sits in billions of phones. Refusing to engage won't stop it, just leaves vulnerable people without knowledge. Demand ownership and control, not abstinence.

But in all the coverage of the art exhibit, I have found no evidence that the MFA student whose work was attacked is engaging uncritically with ML models or presenting ML outputs uncritically, which I would consider to be two necessary components of something being “AI Slop”.
