Just tried out "The Residence" on Netflix and it's actually pretty funny! I'm gonna continue watching!

Watched FISK on Netflix based on Jo Firestone’s recommendation, and so glad I did. Found it amusing at first but was surprised how quickly I grew to love these weirdos and their office antics. S3 ended perfectly.

UNDER THE SILVER LAKE is now on Netflix if you want to check out a dark, weird, funny movie that didn’t get the recognition it deserved upon its release.

Netflix movie review: we watched Kate Winslet’s directorial debut Goodbye June. It’s a warm and sometimes thorny movie about Helen Mirren dying. Despite that description, it’s funny and pointed in its lessons about tolerating family.

Kind of funny how tonight’s Corrie has been shot and edited like a Netflix thriller, with actual background music and cinematic ratio. #Corrie

I remember when the French film Cuties (Mignonnes) was released on Netflix in 2020 and social media was suddenly swamped by “mothers” who derided the sexualization of children

Now…. Crickets

Even went to find of the same people who screamed at me in my timeline

Can’t find them now

Funny that
What X is allowing Grok to do is unlawful or regulatory-illegal in multiple jurisdictions, creates clear DSA violations, and continues despite regulator scrutiny. The images do not need to be pornographic, non-consensual sexualised or intimate depictions are enough.
Elon Musk chatbot repeatedly making CSAM on demand should be one of the single biggest stories right now and it's effectively a collective shrug instead

M loving Sicily express
Series in Netflix.

It's really funny

Two-parter, which is funny, because I think it came to us in one big episode, some sections of these episodes were not dubbed until it went to Netflix, meaning there were some cuts made for time.

In the spirit of very refreshing swears Wicked Little Letters (starring Olivia Colman) is on Netflix til Jan26. It's funny and there's a fun minor mystery aspect too.

Just thought I'd mention that.

I'm happy that Nimona finally released from been cancelled.

When I got to see it premiere on Netflix, there are amazing, funny, shocking, intense and even most emotional moments that this movie was always remembered to everyone and myself included.

Hope for home media like Blu-ray/4K releases.
It's been nearly three years since it came out and the climax of Nimona still gets me every single time. Words cannot describe how much of a miracle it was that this film got released, how it is, and what it means to me. It's the film Blue Sky deserves to be remembered for.

I'll try to be better about sharing stuff in 2026. So let's start with a couple of things I've enjoyed (1/2):

- The Residence, miniseries on Netflix from earlier this year. Absolutely sublime and hilariously funny whodunnit set at the white house. Please, please - more Cordelia Cupp adventures.

Watched buddy thunderstruck on netflix some years ago. Funny show. I wanted to share a joke I thought was pretty funny and went to youtube only to find fart compilations.

The Robby Hoffman stand-up special on netflix is really funny
January 4, 2026 at 5:43 PM
I miss my lil movie group. Started with Twitter folks during the pandemic and even after we could go outside again we’d still get together on Teleparty (formerly Netflix party) and watch a double feature every Saturday night for years. Hundreds of movies. Good ones, bad ones, funny, scary, whatever.
My mutuals have been hosting movie nights, Zoom smoke sessions, and jam sessions and y’know what??? Yes. We love and need virtual community building👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Specifically @astoldbynai.blacksky.app @anty.blacksky.app @craishon.bsky.social — keep it up y’all 🫶🏾

Ricky Gervais's favorite word (cunt), and I totally agree...Gervais's new special on Netflix was, mostly, laugh out loud funny....😘. We need all the laughs we can get right now

The Netflix show Derry Girls is criminally underrated. It takes place in the 90’s during the Irish “Troubles.” It follows some wacky teenagers and it’s really good. It’s very funny.

Why have I not watched more of those Christopher Guest ensemble improv comedies? We stumbled upon For Your Consideration (2006) scrolling through the Netflix menu looking for something to watch with Ada. The kids say we only like funny movies. They’re right.

On a ST:VOY binge till it disappears from Netflix in a few days. Funny how many episodes which were a cautionary tale at the time now are a documentary of the US situation.
January 3, 2026 at 9:18 PM
As an aside, the new Tom Segura Netflix special is not so funny. 👎🏻
January 3, 2026 at 8:26 PM
It’s also kinda funny how this is bookended by Netflix original animated musicals about Asian women coping with what people expect of them, both with deeply flawed scripts that I’m somehow able to ignore because I love the vibes so much

I have enough trouble working out what day it is at the minute. But really enjoyed the live action Netflix film if you get thew chance - thought it was very funny like an early Jackie Chan film. Happy New Year...
