Everyone is behaving so horrified, I mean, I'm glad I'm finally not alone wanting to barf at people's hijinks (this is magnitudes worse, gratis), but I'm also like, not confident they wouldnt do it too if they also had access to power.

This thread seems like it might be a useful place to ask for advice on how I as an amateur story-based comics creator might get help/feedback on portraying a character with a visible disability? (I'm nerodivergent, but no major/visible physical disabilities, so I have limited apropos experience)

Right? Expecting a band to reimagine it's marketing strategy bc a fanbase is "nerodivergent" is insanity (yes that was an *actual* comment). If someone causes themselves extreme anxiety or distress based on a self created headcanon abt a tour schedule? That's on them to deal with, not a band 😵💫

That's kinda how I've felt watching both of Jane Schoenbrun's movies. Like, I knew about the trans allegory going in, but I didn't expect to be brutally reminded of what it's like growing up as a nerodivergent kid in the suburbs who could only really relate to people through TV shows & the internet

like I get, to a degree, that for alot of ppl (esp nerodivergent adhd/autism types. hi hello me aswell i see yall) talking abt their own experience or how they'd do something etc is how they connect with others and show that they care/are engaged, but there are times where it 100% feels like people+
