This is something I’ve been puzzled by for a decade now.
You look at any right wing reply account, influencer, Last Name BunchaNumbers, Patriot Grandma, TERF, etc. There is no happiness, no hobbies, no celebration or personality. It’s just unrelenting, one-note grievance & cruelty.

Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.

Oh for heaven's sake. A fair enough feature to *have*, but having it on by default seems idiot... err, quite silly of them. Gee, I sure do hope that doesn't eat posts just based on how people talk, so everyone has to self-censor. That would be a gosh darned shame.
If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

If someone awful dies, as we all do in time, that fact doesn't erase the fact that they were awful. The idea that you must be nice about someone simply because they are dead is absurd and toxic.
And being retroactively pleased that someone has died is not the same as wishing harm on a living person.

The thing about the relentless march of time is that you only get an ending (happy or otherwise) in fiction. Here in the real world no cause is ever lost forever even though we may not live to see it prevail. This is both hope and cautionary tale.
