game design / worldbuilding lesson
I've been collecting pandemic era signs that nobody can be bothered to take down or remove. There's something grimly fascinating about this. Putting them up was urgent and important; removing them is nobody's job. How long will some of these hang around?

Baltimore Design School Architecture teachers Ms. Zaeh and Mr. O’Harah joined Ms. Canal’s seventh-grade class to teach a lesson on isometric drawings. Students used dotted isometric paper to create multidimensional designs, including collages layered onto imaginary landscapes for their portfolios.

Man I don't want to have to write a 50 minute lesson plan about The Mismeasure of Man or the Tuskegee experiments but I'm having a hard time finding a curriculum relevant lesson on why we need to be cognizant of stereotypes and prejudices when we design our experiments.

Why can’t America design an organized, fair, and kind immigration system? Americans (including me) need a complete immigration lesson.
We must understand immigration to protect our immigrants.

if you watched it on Netflix, there's a feature called The Anatomy Lesson that goes into some of the design choices for the movie; it was really neat to watch

I put it like this....now I see why they made a promo of the card (well, besides the adorable art) Gran-Gran not answered asap will mess you up in the right deck design.

First looking at this card before: "Heh, this card is a cute design and a nice to have this character in the set though the card is allright"

Playing against the card a couple of time during streamer event:

If you want to create games that resonate with a wider audience, you have to take their tastes into account. In my career this was the big lesson of how different aspects of Vampire resonate with audiences and how to design for that. Design doesn't happen in a vacuum.

Let me give you a very important lesson on design: if you move fast enough, the universe won't notice.

Right now the game I'm designing is like most games I design: I don't think it will work. I'm 99% sure that it will explode. And like only 50% of that is fear and self doubt. BUT

By learning from other countries and adopting international best practices, California High Speed Rail was able to cut its costs by $14 billion and cut 70% of tunnels.

This is a big lesson for transit projects both in NY & around the US: start by learning from other countries.

I agree with the hypothetical point, but wasn't this a lesson learned in design 5+ years ago? The newest cars all seem to have returned to making sure there are tactile ways for the most common things people adjust. Knobs are back.

They're photos of a beautiful woman, impeccably dressed. If the photos were promoting a school for modeling, fashion design, or photography, it would make perfect sense. But these photos have nothing to do with improving your credit rating.

You're welcome for the contextual understanding lesson.

#BiteSizeGameDesign Lesson 140: *Most* game mechanics are not subject to copyright.

The internet can be an unkind place. If you’re successful, people will look to “fast follow” your design.

If you make an homage to a classic, try to add something new or novel.
