Like Jeff Tiedrich repeatedly notes, Trump is sundowning and rapacious oligarchs are pushing him to make impetuous moves because they can see his obvious decline and they want to get what they can out of him before he's entirely insentinent.
We know oligarchs profit from financing, providing, and carving up the spoils of war. And invasions (Cheney pushed the Iraq war to enrich Halliburton) Energy concerns pushed the bombing of Nigeria; the invasion of Venezuela and now they have told him to take Greenland.
Now for some reality about the Greenland situation. Rabidly pro-Israel multibillionaire Ronald Lauder has been pushing Trump to take Greenland for years. He is backed by Lutnick (investments a Greenland mining company), Bill Gates, Sam Altman, Howard Schultz, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg.
