It is pretty funny how Simon’s arc pretty easily overshadowed Fionna’s in season 1 while in season 2 so far Fionna’s is very much outshining HW’s (who’s arc feels like has barely even begun)

That argument can be made but if you factor in HW's time as VP & as head of the CIA it leans back his way again. As I said, tho, the bar is low.

Shrike was deliberately written to be a major character in already established story because I'm not interested in writing a WoL. I don't want to have someone who's the "main character" but I want them to influence the story still. The solution was a foe to the WoL who could reinforce HW's themes.
if people aren't into Shrike because of his power level and the fact I emphasize him as a major antagonist in already established story, that's fine, but I'm judging you. I'm just playing with different facets of the setting and narrative that are literally all already there.

12 - so my guess is that this will probably be the only "hint" about Hunter being trans that we'll get - but if we do get any type of scene about the connection between this part of Hunter and HW's connection to magic and the forest - that'd be pretty fucking rad.

HW’s plot is far more engaging to me. Even if they find a clever way to have her intersect with Fionna and Cake, I can’t really imagine it being better than an HW story set in Ooo, and if we get more seasons of F&C, I can imagine this being a bigger problem the more the show goes on
