finished season 1! it’s good!
my only real critique is that, 1 season in, i feel no connection to any individual character - but some of the ideas here are just so inherently interesting that it’s not a super big deal?
ex:
Robot, the character? pretty dull.
Robot, the concept? sick as hell!

Fionna and Cake S2 finale was better than I really thought possible. sure, it inherited some pacing issues from the first 9 episodes, but was just really pleased with these 22 minutes.
i'll save most of my thoughts for the video I'll make on the season in January, but here are a few finale ones:

i cannot stop reading everything Genndy has said about this season. the concept of “i wish i didn’t kill my protagonist and end my show - so what if i just brought both of them back?” is so batshit and fits the rest of this series so well that it has taken the truly bafflingly bad end of s2 -

watched the shorts and the first 3 episodes of this yesterday - genuinely so good. recommend everybody check it out even if you’re a bit put off by the artstyle

interesting episode of Fionna and Cake today! not super sure i love the idea of upending the entire point of one of the best character arcs of the original series in order to give him a cool new design and the honor of maybe being the 6th main character of an episode, but hey, really cool design !!
