I'm always irritated at "feel good" news stories like "Philanthropist generously donates $50,000 to save 20 orphans from orphan-crushing machine" that never question, like, why there's an orphan-crushing machine in the first place, or why it costs money to save orphans from it.

How in the world is the Avatar series a multi-billion-dollar franchise? All I remember was the first one being a summer spectacle because of the Imax 3D gimmick, flashy but insubstantial, with no real legs. Is it a Star Wars-style cultural touchstone in Indonesia or something? I dungeddit.

I hate how commercial Hanukkah has become. You can hardly turn on the TV without getting bombarded by commercials for dreidels and latkes. And how many times are they going to show "You're a Meshugener, Charlie Brown!"?

Went to an "AI scrum" already expecting it to be worthless, but instead it actively eroded my respect for coworkers who spend more time perfecting prompts for business documents than it would take just to write them themselves.
Also the person showing off Copilot started each prompt with "Please."
