I can remember my friend Gerri, who was pretty, petite & very endowed at 14 yo. The way adult men just were completely incapable of not staring at her incessantly, and right in front of her parents, too! In front of her dad! Like, wtf, control your goddamned face! Grow up, ya sick fucks!

I found this old arcade machine that’s just a Gerri-rigged computer that plays old arcade game for free. Some kids were on it before I took a look.

I quickly realized it had hundreds of old games and found Sunset Riders on Sega.

Again, this small group of kids just crowded around.

Reading Katherine Mansfield: A Hidden Life, Gerri Kimber. Like her Early Years book on same author, it's rather shallow, judgmental and disappointing

Gerri, you can open your eyes if you want to see them.

That being told me once again.

I could feel the lightness of them, now. Their love. But, it was extremely dark out & I was in the middle of the ocean.

I was more afraid of the vastness of the ocean than the orcas. And, of the dark.

"Based on compelling new research, Gerri Kimber challenges previous conceptions surrounding the author’s life, uncovers friendships and relationships formerly barely acknowledged, and offers innovative readings of Mansfield’s most celebrated stories."

Good morning Gerri. I have a dear friend, Diane, who lost her husband many years ago, I knew them both very well. She’s often spoken of doing those jobs that were alien to her for so long. It took her a while to realise that she could. I think it helped her get her ‘mojo’ back. 🙏

Hi, Gerri

I hope all goes well with the gig! 🤞❤️

I know.

Absolutely. That.

But that’s not all that’s left Gerri. Try to remember that. It’s important.

They most definitely do. And whatever it takes to help you heal a bit is good. It’s been 19yrs for me this year, and I still have little things of Sharon’s around. It all takes time Gerri. Losing “the one” isn’t something we can take easily, and I don’t ever think it completely heals. Sending a hug.
