MUCKLESHOOT INDIAN TRIBE. Yakama. Umatilla. Puyallup. Nisqually.♡°Writer. Poet. Playwright.°♡ #ChronicPain #CFS| Once, a bison 🦬 & I were face to face. The connection was powerful. Similarly, to when we're on The Puget Sound in our cedar canoes. 🤲 🌊 ✍️📖 📚
When I was in high school, Mom sent me care packages two or three times a year. She always sent me hot chocolate with marshmallows, too. Depending on what time of year it was, she'd send me candy from that holiday, too! Halloween! Easter! Valentines! And, she'd always send me roses on October 15th!

I was thinking back to my college days. Every Christmas season we'd receive our big tribal check. I was down in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mom would go to the tribe & pick up my check & she'd overnight it to me from certified mail. Every year that I was in New Mexico Mom helped me in every single way. 🥰🙏🏼

It's true. Some people truly only had themselves to rely on in their lives. I applaud them all for pushing through. However, many of us still had at least a best friend, our mothers, or, someone who strongly believed in us & helped us along the way. As a teenager, I had my cousin. As an adult, MOM 🥰

It's amazing how difficult your life becomes when you no longer have your Mother to help you out with all the major & minor details. Many people can proclaim that they've done everything on their own, but, when you have Mom there as backup crew, you realize you made it with her LOVE. Respectfully. 🥰

Do you ever wonder what happened to the people who stopped and asked you for directions?

I know I do…

I was feeling the Christmas Spirit last night, so I created these characters with a Christmas theme. I was really trying to create her into an odd, yet, really pretty type of character.

A large square head, long skinny neck. Large eyes. Long legs. A burgundy crown. Christmas trees all around her.

11: 11 AM.

It's still raining now, but, it's a really light rain. You can barely hear it.

I love this sound.

I love the sound of rain.

Yesterday, I listened to the rain all afternoon & into the night.

I wanted to go outside & film it, but, honestly, I was too lazy to walk around in the dark & film.

So, I opened up my window a little bit more & let the sound of rain fill my room.

Light. Ongoing rain.

The crow outside my window is throwing a major fit!

I wonder what it's saying?

Is he screaming at his wife to hurry up?

Is he screaming at his child to wake up & get out of bed?

Is it a female crow who is arguing with her sister & her sister is ignoring her & it makes her even more upset?

IDK?

Same. I might buy one for myself this Christmas!!!
I really need 1. A sewing machine and 2. Someone to show me how to use a sewing machine. Ive never used one, and they intimidate me.

They should have taught us this in HS, it'd be much more useful than calculus.

As an old, I write in cursive. If I were to address an envelope, like say a Christmas card, I'd 100% write everything in cursive: town name, road name, person's name. Would the mail carrier even be able to read that? How weird to live in a world where everyone doesnt know cursive.

These are so cute & pretty to me. They're definitely self-portraits with an artistic vibe! If I were to be created into a character, this would definitely be me. Especially, when she appears more chubby! LoL! As a character, I don't mind that she's super skinny at times! I love all of her creations!

I am finally figuring out who my character is! The more I create, the more crisp & clear she becomes! This is my favorite one so far. I love all of them, but, this one feels most complete to me. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else, but, to me it does.

I love these creations! So fun!!!

With these creations, I created a similar character as before. The extra-large head & button nose. Hearts on her cheeks. A cute touch, I think! And, a beautiful headband w/ clamshells on it. Black boots with clamshells on them. A black dress with a white bow at her waist. A white bison & Sasquatch.

In this small collection, a Native American woman is at a waterfall up in the mountains. I really wanted it to look like a collage of images coming together as one art piece. The first art piece has a small likeness to STARRY NIGHT. Then, Sasquatch is close by. And, Medicine Men praying & singing. 🙏🏼

I love this painting. Well, I'd love for it to become a beautiful painting one day. It was taken on October 15th, 2023. Mom was still with us. We're missing 2 sisters & one brother. But, it was still a wonderful birthday for my little sister and me. We share the same birthday: October 15th. 🥳🎂🥰 🎃🍰🎶🍁

Self-portrait. In the style of cubism. Similar to Picasso's self-portrait. I love it. 😍☺️🙂

This art collection is about a Native American woman artist who is at a local park. At the park is a large waterfall fountain & a beautiful statue of a Native American woman holding onto a large salmon. That statue is the centerpiece of this entire park. I love how it looks like a collage painting.

Another self-portrait version. This time, the character is at a cabin up in the mountains. There's a waterfall near her home. Spirits of salmon are swimming in the water. Salmon are swimming around. It's FALL Time. Sunset. Sasquatch. She's praying at the river. She brought seashells up to her cabin.

These self-portrait pieces are inside a rose garden. I love the variety of flowers & different statues inside the rose garden. I initially wanted it to be a water fountain, but, I ran out of words to use. The irises appear to be extremely sophisticated which I LOVE ❤️ 😍 💖 . They're so cute to Me. 😊

Another one of my favorite mini collections of art pieces. Similar to, The Two Fridas, but, my own self-portraits.

I love the Halloween images. I love the strange, yet, pretty character with the large head & huge eyes. I love how feminine she looks. Then, sitting next to a chubby plain Jane! 😍🥰😊
