focusing on retribution over healing is bad for everyone in a community. when someone does that they're not helping anything, least of all themselves. it's destructive behavior.

it's also! a very common behavior of bad faith actors and abusers. but that's a correlation, not a hard and fast rule.

I’m not sure if I like it as much as Knives Out and Glass Onion as a mystery, but Wake Up Dead Man is a FASCINATING examination of faith and how it can be either a healing force or, when co-opted by evil, an engine of destruction. And like all the Benoit Blanc movies it’s REALLY fucking funny.
