Is it weird that I think of what they did to native Indians. I have such anguish for them. They took their women & children, cut their hair demanded they abandon their language, forced them to read the Bible, forced them into slavery, ra*pe , them called them savages all under the name of god .

"it is not objective, critical or pluralist". If it were those things I think it is good to teach religion in the context of history and society. There are plenty of people who are not religious, but there are also plenty who are. And love it or hate it, it plays a role in history, values, etc.
