Please be aware of HOW MANY scams are out there right now. You can tell AI “create a book promotion website for me in English” & it’s done.
I got a chilling email last week, asking if I’d used “The Author’s Edge” services. The site used me as a reference with a fraudulent VHStone gmail address.

idk if the narrator voice is ai but it certainly sets my teeth on edge

cards on the table, I can think of a few edge cases where AI VO could work. but the only way I would be open to it (actors receive pay when it’s done; get oversight over generated lines; etc) are at odds with what Tim Epic and others want to do. so it’s a nonstarter to me right now.

Always a little on edge when people diagnose AI primarily from anatomy mistakes or stylistic inconsistency.

One time I forgot to draw hexbeast's whole thumb.

I make anatomy mistakes all the time, and tend to jump between pixel art, sketches, and digital paintings and mouse based art on a whim

Honestly kind of hilarious that the Robyn founders have recognized X users as a huge base of marks who will spend money on AI crap

Video AI is on the edge of tipping from toy to professionally useful.

The newest open source models can do 20 seconds with audio and dialogue. Once that gets to 30 seconds, you'll be able to generate commercials with it.

This is why Figma bought Weavy.
Part of the reason why I’m so insistent about folks understanding AI capabilities is that they’re here to stay and we need to start thinking about what to do in such a world. Putting the genie back in the bottle is a pleasant fantasy that delays serious reckoning

What is speedrunning? Why is it interesting for AI researchers? What fun, silly, playful things could we make together?

(I eventually found the normal dumb edge detector hidden as a sub-tool below the “smart” AI tool. Still deeply worrying design.)

Already talking about an AI bailout? They haven't even crashed yet!

And yet...

"In 2024, AI companies lost about $5 billion; in the first half of 2025, they lost a reported $13.5 billion; and in the last quarter alone, they lost another $12 billion." 🧵

Guys, the computer runs. I managed to get it to work.

I only had to ask a literal Apple engineer to pry out the CMOS battery for me.

AMD PC GPU roadmap.

CDNA4 (today) AI is performing upscaling, AMD's Papermaster says. As we further improve machine learning, the GPU will come to edge.

Next NPU, more TOPS, better energy efficiency.
