Exceptionally average. Cautiously pessimistic. Sharp as a Nerf™ ball.
Groaners, reading, cooking, jazz, the odd Lego, recreational bitching, and whatnot.

DUI in a bulldozer. There's a good joke in there, but can't quite put my finger on it.

This was unknown to me. It is exceptionally beautiful stuff. Thanks @finnegans.bsky.social for the rec. That's social media at its best.
My brother recently turned me onto this composer. The performer's touch is exquisite.

Two more, two to go. Definitely in my wheelhouse.
Watched two episodes of STEAL. May change my mind, but so far the best series I've seen in a good while. People don't spend half the time explaining to each other what they will do, are doing, or have done. You have to pay attention. Imagine that.
Watch Steal Season 1 – Prime Video
A high-octane, heart-pounding thriller about the heist of the century. A typical day at Lochmill Capital is upended when armed thieves burst in and force Zara (Sophie Turner) and her best friend Luke ...

Don't exactly know why, but I'm heartened to see that DODGEBALL is the #6 movie around here. A brilliantly ridiculous movie that feels like sanity somehow.

He literally jumped to Conclusions. Good lord, how I love 'The Phantom Tollbooth'.
"Nothing can possibly go wrong now," cried the Humbug happily and as soon as he'd said it he leaped from the car, as if stuck by a pin, and sailed all the way to the little island.

correct. The rule of law, democracy, etc. are constructs, not natural events. Sad that the obvious needs to be stated.
Jack Smith: "My fear is that we have seen the rule of law function in our country for so long that many of us have come to take it for granted. The rule of law is not self-executing. It depends on our collective commitment to apply it."

Kinda surly tonight. But I just discovered that some people take the time to write reviews of puzzles on Amazon. Sure, but why? I somehow can't wrap my head around that.
