#dyework
Fuck it, I'm gonna use the Raven mask I'm working on to talk about layered dyework today.

Copyists take note: my dyes are altered from original state in terms of palette, you will not get 1-1 results by following this. You have to experiment with your own mixes and ratios just like I do.

This is phenomenal dyework, very striking

Loving the blend of beautiful dyework and Black History from this account. I used to spin wool, but never dyed it, so I admire and covet from here.

Attn lovelies,

Here is a sneak peek at March's #monthlyyarnclub colorway. Deep foresty green blends with dusty golden brown on a sparkle gold base? Yes pls. Based on a gorgeous 17thc portrait that I will tell you more abt soon. Stay tuned! 🧶

I still think about all the textures I achieved through my dyework. It was a labor of love

Beautiful fiber, spinning, and dyework!

Just dropped a big banner off at @pendragons_labyrinth — perhaps you’ll see it flying above their shop soon, if you’re local! It’s so much fun working on these big banners; let me know if you have any fun ideas for them! #dyework #resistdye #dragonart

Swapped items around after I treated myself to some NC/Dyeworks, and did you know that I have "some" of my Neopets to Art Fight? (At least ones w/ art made by me!)

It's really hard for me to figure out how to list things because I currently do or have in the past dabbled in so many subfields of sewing, like millinery, corsetry, and shoe making. But they all fall under sewing. And does dyework count as a handicraft? I have no clue.

Made an order (a tote I’d been covering for a while) from @kirikomade who has been a wonderful client — and a postcard of my work came with it 🥲 it turned out awesome! #workingartist #dyework

Had such a wonderful time at Fuyu fest, a sake tasting festival run by @sunflowersake ! Got to taste some delicious sake while vending my wares 🍶 I made these maekake (apron traditionally used to promote shops) inspired pieces last minute with the mossy slug stencil — aren’t they cute? #dyework

I made this color all by myself! Dyework for lampshades is fun.

Dyework. Little bit of normalcy.

Except I did a shitass job. Sigh.

It's hot as heck, so let's do dyework.

Lovely!! And FiberOptic’s dyework has been breathtaking for a long time. :-)

What’s your next weaving project going to be?

It's a common idea that patterns were often plain or colorless, however this is a misunderstanding. While pigments often did not survive long enough to be seen in archaeology, writings indicate that dyework was just as important as pattern making and material

How about some Winifred to lead up to Halloween?
I'm really happy with how this costume shaped up. I had so much fun playing with all the textures like dyework, patching, and beading. Still need to get better at the makeup though!
