I use it around the house foundation, the garden, and the chicken coop and run and their dustbathing area. Works great for the girls to remove any mites

Here be Stone Curlews, anxious parent Stonechats chatting, contentedly chirruping Woodlark families dustbathing among the incomparable Viper's Buglosses and a COOL breeze. (Eerie quiet in the village on my return at 2140 hrs signaling Croatia's triumph). #CavenhamHeath #MyWalk

Edie is sunbathing and then dustbathing probably.

Sunbathing/dustbathing maybe

Anting is also a good guess

But also I’d add that birds are weirdos (I say lovingly) and I’ve seen my own and other folks do like things for no other reason than that they think they’re fun or funny or feel good

@stephanie I often have a moment of panic when I see my chickens splooted out like that dustbathing or sunbathing. It really does look awful! Good to know they are actually quite happy when splooting like that :)

tf show where cybertronians can't naturally look that shitty and they all spend at least two hours a day dustbathing and putting on fake rust so they don't get body snatched

Early morning patches of sun are sparse among the trees, so dustbathing spots are at a premium.

Silly #chickens...
Here is Dubious Intentions showing off the little hearts that cover her chest...
Some of the flock dustbathing. Apricot *really* getting into it--head upside-down, eyes closed, and one foot in her ear.

The other 3 hens are: Jessie, Babs, and Sally. It's lovely to see them scratching and dustbathing in their new home. And I can't wait for them to join the larger flock, once their quarantine is over, and they can enjoy the delights of the vegetable beds and the compost bins!

Managed to get the potato planter finished & planted.

Also happy hens (Inc dust bathing in the veg beds).

my bulk Anise Hyssop transplantation has successfully waylaid Groundhog Man (for now), so now I must handle my next plant-trampling boss: the House Sparrows enthusiastically dustbathing right fuckn on top of my Butterflyweeds that are desperately trying to stand back up 💀
