#commonsense…more
I was in two back to back committee meetings yesterday that made it hard for me to comment on this story.

We are taking this seriously. Public restrooms are commonsense. It’s a key strategy to bringing more people downtown and our cultural corridors. Along with the humanity aspect.
Really glad to see this; and especially glad that it's coming out of the Public Health & Safety Committee. It is a public health issue but it's also safety. Thank you CM @jchavezmpls.bsky.social and the rest of the committee! Please don't let it stay a report.

"At a time when the Republicans have been forced to finally talk about the healthcare crisis facing our country, it is essential that the Democratic Caucus unify behind a set of commonsense policies that will make healthcare more affordable and accessible," said Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Short of Medicare for All, Sanders Offers Democrats 6 Other Ways to Tackle Healthcare Crisis
"There are a number of much-needed reforms to the healthcare system that we could offer now that would substantially improve the lives of the American people and are also incredibly popular."

You dubbed it an argument
one-sided, more of a talking-to
My tongue is now bitten and sore
with a nauseating desire to heave forth some wisdom.

Sen. KAINE: I’m happy—because my friends won on Tuesday. But I’m happy anytime we have elections where people really participate. The kinds of things we’ve done in Virginia to make elections more accessible to all are commonsense, good for democracy, and good for voters.

And to be fair irl while Zohran has far more charisma than Sadiq, both have a lot of commonsense and deep understanding of problem solving & improving the urban environment.

We had another police officer shot and killed responding to a domestic violence call. Years ago he went to the school I taught at. He left a 2 year old daughter.
No law stops all crime, but anything citizens can do to save more lives is worth it. Red flag laws can save lives. #Maine #commonsense

Oh man, Tricia, wait until you hear about this group called AIPAC.

You're gonna love throwing everyone affiliated with them out of the country, right?

Right ... ?

Worth noting in part due to the prevalence of assault & abuse in the highest realms of power right now: I will never, ever forget James is one of the few to *ever* hold anyone to account in the wake of #MeToo. From my book Burn It Down, what AG James & her office did regarding CBS & Les Moonves:

"The “tell us once” approach is designed to reduce the number of times Australians are required to provide the same information when accessing services like Medicare rebates, Centrelink, and child support."

Any campaign, politician or commentary that does not recognize BDS is now political commonsense among Americans is either in a bubble or more likely, lying

“A majority of American voters now oppose sending additional economic and military aid to Israel, a stunning reversal in opinion.”

My heart is with the families of those killed and injured at the Dallas ICE facility this morning.

As we continue to hear more information, one thing is clear: Gun violence affects all of us — whether you’re law enforcement, an immigrant, or a citizen. We need commonsense gun safety laws.

yeah, one of the most frustrating things about the centrist pearl-clutching is that many leftists whom the dems were perfectly willing to throw under the bus voted for them anyway, and they've repaid that trust by finding more and more marginalised people to sacrifice to "commonsense and goodwill"

Donald Trump’s unilateral tax on coffee has jacked up the cost of a cup for the more than 200 million Americans who drink coffee.

I'm introducing a commonsense, bipartisan bill that will cut this senseless tax that you’re paying every day.

More tips (2/2):
- Obviously commonsense prevails, if you have a zine just bring the whole thing with some pages marked.
- Exhibitors welcome, yes, this is for you too, perhaps pop along if you have a quiet spot
- We won't be saying who is reviewing when- new faces will give new insights
- Turn up.

Last year, Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol took home 6,666 times as much pay as a typical Starbucks worker.

Allowing this kind of corporate greed to run rampant is a far more extreme position than passing a popular, commonsense tax on it. It's time for the Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act.

Wow.!.! Wow.!
We handed the country to INCOMPETENT GROWN-UPS, which is embarrassing that we, the people, have more commonsense to manage better than... supposedly,
" Smart, educated, business minded, military experience, exc."
These are official IDIOTS.

Virginians are losing their jobs every day. Meanwhile, our Governor is more concerned with making it harder for certain people to receive the world class post-secondary education that Virginia is proud of.

Get your priorities straight.

IMO, this is what the public needs more of.

It helps lay ppl if scientists are clear that most humans sit in one of the two modes, because o/w it sounds like denial of commonsense.

But, they also need to hear that some people don't fit in one of the two modes and they deserve dignity & respect.
Chart showing "bimodal" nature of gender / sex. Because female & male are the most common (the 2 modes), mistakes that they are the only 2 are made, either from lack of knowledge or deliberate persecution of minorities. We owe dignity & respect to all. Especially minority people. Without exceptions.
