Blissville acted as a passenger airport between 1944 and 1947, when Saint John opened up a civilian airport at the RCAF base in Pennfield. Passengers would disembark with no real idea where they were. They were then offered a 50 km cab ride over dirt roads into Fredericton, or 70 km to Saint John.

Beautiful photos of the North Quabbin area of Massachusetts. I’m fortunate to live in the area. However, Blissville is not a town in MA, it’s a neighborhood in N. Orange, MA on the Warwick border.
