Despite the constant rain, the birds keep coming, it was good to see a Willow Tit at Llyn Brenig, aswell as a male Goshawk over a road in the area. 2 Dippers, including one singing, at Betws-y-coed, was also nice.

Would love to go back (UK, France, Italy) but have heard a lot of stories that the old Europe isn't the same anymore due to mass migration. Is this true? Hard to tell what's real anymore. (btw loved Betws-y Coed)

I went cycling and hated it, but realised that it’s all just part of the process

It was running through my head on the sixth faux-downhill I came to last week in the Betws-y-Coed…#uk #news #uknews

A waterfall in ‎Eryri National Park, Betws-Y-Coed, Wales

When I see Welsh place names I sometimes think "oh it must be a Philly suburb"

A friend invited me down to their cottage in Betws-y-Coed during this strange void of time at the end of the year. I enjoyed hiking around and visiting cute pubs and snuggling up under blankets while looking out at the cold hills. Such a cozy wintery way to ring in 2026.

Quick walk around Llyn Elsi, Betws Y Coed this morning. 4 displaying Goosander were great to see, first time I had seen them there. Also Tufty, Teal and Mallard. Also removed this, which was pointed out to me by a local Robin. #birdingWales

An ivy-covered wall here, a window seat jutting out over the river there, a chimney stack steaming to mingle with the trees' respiration -- Betws-y-Coed seems to have grown straight from stones thrown into the riverbed ✍️ Molly Stubbs

There were always a few up at Caen y coed near Betws coed under, often a fair distance from the small grove. They usually disappeared at around 40cm height, replaced by a mysterious shovel-shaped hole…

I'll be sorry to see the Alpine Coffee Shop go. Probably the best breakfast in Betws-y-Coed.
Hugely popular Alpine Coffee Shop in Betws-y-Coed to close
The cafe has been an institution in the Eryri village since starting up in 1976

Anyone who's visited Betws y coed will know and likely have had a memorable meal here. Sad to see it close but amazing work they've done over the the years.
