Now known as the Richardson Olmsted Complex and home to a high end hotel, the Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane admitted its first patient in 1880. The last patient left in 1974. Left abandoned for many years the first hotel guest checked-in in 2017

A lost shoe lays behind the long abandoned Buffalo Central Terminal. Since the last train left the station in 1979, I'm thinking this shoe was not lost by a traveler or commuter, but is a more “recent” addition.
