In May 2017 there was a Carolina Wren nest on my porch. This is one of the earliest Carolina Wren videos I have for #Wrensday. The two parents constantly hopped around to hide their nest in a geranium. I didn't recognize the birdsongs then. 🪶

It's #wrensday! This beautiful and delicate #wren hit a window and didn't survive the crash 😔 I found her lying on the sidewalk, so I took her home and buried her in the soil.

a small bird perched on a branch - you can see lots of green leaves around it. the bird has a white/cream chest and lower body - the head and back is ashy gray in color. has a long black beak - beak is open as it was making sounds. the tail is light brown and has few black spots. Either a Green or a Greenish Warbler a small bird with brown head, wings and tail. the belly is whiter shade. you see a small yellow beak, and black eyes, there's also a white streak from the beak passing beyond the eyes. The bird is perched on top of a mango tree flowers. there are mango leaves in the frame, and there's blue sky behind it. There is a scaly-breasted munia, sitting on a rock. Next to it is a small patch of tall grass. behind there are two more birds from the same species. Its name is based on the distinct scale-like feather markings on the breast and belly. The adult is brown above and has a dark conical bill. A flamboyance of flamingos, the one in focus in front is a grey colored juvenile? and the ones behind have white plumage with pink tail feathers. and pink legs. they also have pink beak with black tip.

For #wrensday, a Rock Wren in a likely spot. I did sit in a spot without moving for awhile, but this little birb eventually got too close to focus, which is a nice problem to have. #Birds #BirdOfTheDay

Center frame facing right, looking right on a feeder post located at Maumee Bay State Park's Nature Center, Window on Wildlife. I observed two Carolina Wrens waiting in line to work on the suet. There were many other bird species doing the same thing... waiting in line for their chance to grab an easy snack.
