Love when my long covid provider just sighs and recommends tumeric. The wellness supplement zeitgeist is out of control.

(Tumeric absolutely has active antiinflammatory properties, but I think we gotta admit it's not going to fix chronic covid.)

You're welcome! nature's amoxicillin INGREDIENTS • 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar • ½ cup fresh pineapple (including core) • 2 in. ginger, peeled • 3 garlic cloves • 1 small onion, chopped roughly • ½ lemon, peel included • 1 ½ tbsp. raw honey (manuka preferable) • 1 in. tumeric root, peeled • ½ tsp. cayenne pepper • ½ tsp. black pepper METHOD In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend on high for 1-2 mins. Strain if desired (use a cheese cloth or clean tea towel.) This is optional as you lose the fiber BUT it makes it a lot easier to drink. Store in a glass jar in the fridge. But then I get suspicious of being stuck inside the tourist gaze, seeing what I'm supposed to see here, ticking boxes of herdsmen & hijras, peacocks and monkeys, & ceremonies of oil & fire, tumeric & coconut. But also piles of trash, cars that don't stop honking, city air too smoggy to breathe.

A soup recipe for the fall and cold/flu season without 3 pages of backstory, and yes this is my own I came up with it tonight over the stove LOL

- 1 whole onion (color is meaningless, use what you’ve got)
- 3 celery stalks, washed, halved and sliced
- A handful of baby carrots, sliced into rounds (or regular sized carrots, idk I’m not your father)
- 5 slices of bacon, cut into small pieces (I use kitchen shears to make this simple)
- 2 chunks of bird based meat (I used chicken breast but you can use whatever you’ve got on hand, thighs would work well here)
- about 3tbsp flour (more or less if you want to change the thickness!)
- about 1 cup milk
- 1 bag mixed veggies
SEASONINGS:
Salt
Black *and* White pepper
Tumeric
Ginger
Garlic (I used jarlic, but whatever you have on hand will work)
MSG
Chipotle Seasoing Blend (or anything with some spice) Steps
- add bacon to your pot and begin to render the fat. Do this at a med-low heat as to not burn the bacon before it’s given it’s fat up
- after fat has rendered add onion and celery, along with seasonings. How much? Ask your ancestors and if you’re white, double it.
- make space in the center, and add your chicken
- when chicken is almost fully cooked, remove, shred/chop, and return to pot
- add flour, mix well with veg and chicken, this will absorb excess fat and help thicken final soup
- add about 6 cups of water (already boiling water makes cooking faster), mixed veggies, and milk
- allow to simmer for 10-20 min

Our middle grandson was arriving early this morning so I got my morning smoothie ingredients ready last night. I add keifer, avocado, chunk of baked beet, coconut milk, frozen berry mix, dry matcha, a mushroom supplement, tumeric & Ka'chava.
Banana, orange, strawberry, kale, carrots, celery, spinach and parsley in a glass container.

I found that with my chronic-inflammation problems, my anxiety went away along with my muscle aches when I'd take Ibuprofen. Ive entirely gutted my diet of foods that cause inflammation, and started putting tumeric in my yogurt. I can actually THINK on my good days now. Anything might help!

Second, I must once again apologize to Indian Cuisine for my many crimes. I've decided to call this Vibe Korma because it started by glancing at Veg Korma recipes to get a starting point, and then went completely off the rails.
Recipe in first image.
Diced veggies, broken up broccoli, de-cobbed sweet corn. 5 medium gold potaytoes (diced) 4 lg Carrots (Sliced) 3 heads of brocoli (broken up, stems quartered) 1lb of green beans, frenched and sliced to equal sizes 4 corn on the cob (removed from cob) 1lb frozen peas 1.5~2 cup? of Raw Cachews 1 cup Coconut Milk Spices 1 tbsp Garam Masala 2 tbsp Curry Powder 1 tsp tumeric 1 tsp coriander 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp cayenne 1/2 tsp black pepper 3 tsp salt [This is the part you forgot to get Brown Sugar] 1 tbsp granulated sugar :) 1 tbsp cocoa powder :) Put cachews in a bowl of boiling hot water to soak while doing other prep. Corn: Preheat oven 400F. Tossed in some butter and salt+pepper before spreading on aluminum foil. Baked for 10m, stir and flatten, 5m more and then set aside. Potato, Carrot, Broccoli, green beans, boiled for 10~15m then strained. 1 lg yellow onion garlic ~2in of ginger 14oz can of tomatos Blend/food processor into puree Put tomato puree + spices in pan, stir 2~3min until fragrant/heated Drain cachews, then use the coconut milk to blend/food process into puree. Add cachew puree to sauce pan and mix. Realize at this point your sauce pan is too small and maybe you shouldnt have used however much was the whole bag of cachews. Add the peas and let it simmer so they defrost a bit, 1~2 minutes, then add the boiled vegies to the mixture. Likely moving to your giant stock pot because your saucepan, again, is too dang small and you didn't think to split cooking everything into two batches until too late. Frantically get your bicep workout in churning and stirring things trying to get everything to heat evenly and not sit at the bottom to burn. Low, simmer heat for ~10 minutes, adding water to thin it out as desired. Taste and add seasonings, because you also didnt think about the added volume of veggies/other ingredients throwing off how much to put in the sauce originally and now its kind of thin. Put over rice and dig in because its still yummy. Left: Cachew + Coconut milk puree Right: Tomato, Onion, Garlic, Ginger puree Boiled Veggies, taken from the hot tub and cooled Spice mixture thats definitely enough and not at all lacking because you totally accounted for all the extra volume of veggies and sauce so it'll absolutely be well-spread. Also, you forgot Brown Sugar. Decide that equal parts granulated sugar and cocoa powder is a substitute and go with that.
