Genuine reasons provided to me by Star Wars fans showing The Acolyte is "objectively bad."
Mother Aniseya didn't gain consent before messing with the mind of Torbin at the assencsion. When I pointed out the Jedi NEVER ask for consent this was dismissed as: "That's no excuse". 😂

I'm also iffy on the whole killed two Jedi. Torbin was basically assisted suicide. He accepted her need for vengeance and he himself could never absolve himself of the actions on Brendok. She did defeat Indara, but I also think Indara was never going to fight to kill and that would be her weakness.

I agree. We're going to see lots of flashbacks and very likely we will see the inciting incident - we will get to see why Master Torbin was moved to take a Barash Vow, why Kelnacca is living solitary, and why Mae is an alcolyte of the dark side.

Finished watching The Acolyte and wow. The way each of the Jedi fail in their own specific ways and then try to atone for it is so well done--Torbin, the hot headed, becomes a pacifying; Kelnacca the Wookie withdraws into a jungle similar to his home planet; Sol the mother-killer teaches younglings

I think it’s more the overarching “Jedi seek out Force-sensitive children in the galaxy and take them to be trained as Jedi, regardless of the wishes of parents.”
I think the collective guilt felt by Indara, Torbin, Kelnacca, and Sol are because their very arrival for that task caused mass death
