The place hoplite warfare folks should go is medieval Europe to look at other comparable shield-wall formations.

These are for players that LOVE drawing the enemies' aggression!
They look to pull the eyes of the opponent, and potentially in a way that gives their allies a clean pick.
They will also go for Sharks sometimes!
(This is the closest to "Skirmishers")

Both are opponents for the Marian Romans.
(I somehow messed up when ordering these. I need one more base of skirmishers for the Germans.)

I think having slightly more warriors than cavalry and slightly more cavalry than skirmishers is usually a good rule of thumb.
(Unless playing Warhammer fantasy in which case max out skirmishers and fast cav).

I've _got_ 3 warrior units and 4 heroes on foot.
And a box of 30 figures.
Do I make 3x 8 figure warrior units, and 1x 4 figure unit of skirmishing archers? (Plus 2x heroes)
Or 2x 8 figure warrior units and 3x skirmishers? (+2 heroes) #wargaming
