#SaaS-Based
this is a senior sec eng role description lmao

I am assuming, based on incompetence/malice principle, that this is due to some ridiculous database lock from the SaaS. Or in other words they should have duplicated the AI-entered into to a human-editable “final” field and did not, a reprehensible bug

Stop wasting money on junk leads.

You're scraping keywords. I'm finding intent

I built an engine that gives leads a "heat score" based on their actual buying signals.

it pisses me off that eight sleep makes genuinely good products that are ruined by being saas-based for no reason

Hold on. There was a government payroll guy on here a few days ago explaining that the system as he knew it wouldn’t even allow payroll to pay these guys like Trumpstein said.

Do you think they leaked the data using some dumbass SaaS cloud based bullshit Nutlick told them to use for payroll 😂

Every usage-based, post-paid SaaS should require users on signup to choose between "I'm a business and I'll pay any amount to keep my services up" and "I'm an enthusiast and would rather pause everything if it crosses $x/month"
guy in a legal advice reddit wants to know how to get out of paying google the money he owes them after vibe coding one of his apps into running 40 times a second for several days straight, but says it's not his fault bc they should have stopped him by making it harder to use

Storm-2657 is actively targeting a range of US-based organizations, particularly employees in sectors like higher education, with such "payroll pirate" attacks to gain access to third-party human resources (HR) software as a service (SaaS) platforms like Workday.

On the day it happens, and it will, the executive power provisions within the Communications Act of 1934 and the National Emergencies Act of 1976 will allow him to kill switch the US internet. He will. Plan for that now, because it includes your US-based cloud storage and hosted SAAS applications.
It seems clear—I think to everyone, now—that a false and illegal invocation of the Insurrection Act is coming before the end of the year. Media outlets should be telling us how they will prepare for this potential Treason. State governments should be telling us. Activists should be developing plans.

Typically enterprise agreements include language that states customer data is not fed back into training. So any assurances are based on legal frameworks and trust, although that's not a lot different from other SaaS arrangements.

The AI bubble inflated through mythology that LLMs and generative AI were "always getting more powerful," without ever defining what that meant. In reality, these probabilistic models never amounted to the promises that boosters and investors had made.

$CFLT Confluent's Dollar-Based Net Retention Rate (DBNR) for the last quarter slightly decreased to 117%, but remains strong—ranking among the leaders in SaaS companies and in line with the median DBNR of 117% for the SaaS companies I monitor.

My take based on Snowflake, Databricks, Clickhouse, & others:

1. Vendor-run control + data plane = Fully-managed Saas

2. Vendor-run control plane + customer-run data plane = BYOC

3. Customer-run control plane + data plane = Licensed software

Also, imho #3 = bad idea jeans.

As AI infultrates every digital product, pricing products by users (or seats) becomes less profitable for SaaS businesses.

Could 2025 be the year of outcome based pricing for Saas?

And more importantly for me, will that lead to a swing to outcome based pricing for agency projects?
January 3, 2025 at 4:07 PM
january is the month of subscription pricing updates for a lot of providers it appears.

With the low CAD to USD rate (and everything going on with posibble US taxes incr) I'm starting to wonder if starting a Canadian based SaaS would make sense as-in priced in CAD and using only CAD resources :|
