#Miscast
Yooo that's fun, I love Miscast

In Magic today, tragedy struck as a secluded priest miscast the spell Shining Chasing. Several hunters were injured.

Drawings done for a collaboration with Miscast!

It's an incredible honor. Trent's infectious creativity has been a huge inspiration to me for many years!

As long as it's not those craptastic live-action movies with Jason Lee embarrassingly miscast as Dave Seville, I'm up for anything Chipmunks~ 🤣

Just watched Wake Up Dead Man, really good movie! I think I prefer it to Glass Onion, though the first Knives Out is still so perfect to me.

I will say, though, that I don't think we got enough of the suspects in this one, and also that Mila Kunis felt like a miscast.

Feel like he might get miscast often. He fits into that loudmouth, ego-driven pocket quite well based on what I've heard but he usually gets cast into more subdued roles with good (Dune) and unsatisfactory (Little Women) results. Would love to see him in a mob flick or something like that

Kip (though a perfectly fine actor) is badly miscast. Too old and too beefy, IMO.

You mean the Amanda Root/Ciaran Hinds/Samuel West version, right? It, in a word, slays. And the book, of course.

SO much better than the pallid Sally Hawkins/Rupert Penry-Jones series, & DON'T get me started on that execrable "updated" atrocity starring the horridly miscast Dakota Johnson. Bleah.

Watching John Ford's adaptation of The Plough and the Stars (which I'd never seen).

Thoughts:
1. Barbara Stanwyck as badly miscast as everyone says
2. It's the least of the film's problems
3. Did Dudley Nichols ever read the O'Casey play he adapted?
4. What film did RKO think they were making?

Last night, while watching THE HOLIDAY with my mom and sister, they both thought Jude Law was miscast. I said I disagreed, noting that he was a huge sex symbol in the 2000s. My sister was like “how do you KNOW this?!”

And I’m thinking, “how do you NOT know this?!”

Keanu is perfect for roles where he can be Keanu (see e.g. Point Break) and is miscast where he has to be someone else (see e.g. Dracula).

Don’t hate me but the one flaw in Lee’s film was Emma Thompson as a 19 year old Eleanor. IMHO, Thompson, being nearly twice the age of Eleanor, was a miscast.
And, don’t get me started on the upcoming Margot Robbie Wuthering Heights!
Will Hollywood ever do the classic Wuthering Heights justice?

Try this instead: I was wrong. I overstated narrow election results, underappreciating how many Trump voters didn’t believe he’d do what he said. I miscast fascists and oligarchs gaining political power as a popular cultural shift. I got some of this on X, failing to recognize it’s skewed that way.”

She's SO good in this. I was just recently discussing how she was horribly miscast in Ant-Man 3, and yet, in this, she couldn't possibly be more perfect. (She was also good in the Pikachu movie and whatever the heck else I've seen her in.)

4/5🧵 Gotta admit, I prefer smart, good-lookin' '70s Duke boys over goofy-lookin', semi-smart movie Dukes.

Dave Koechner as Cooter? Perfect casting.

Kevin Hefferman? Miscast as a Southern boy.

Joe Don Baker? Wasted in this film (as Gov).

Willie Nelson as Uncle Jessie: Perfect!

Also, I've nothing against Jessica Simpson, but I didn't buy her at all. I didn't buy her as smart, & I kinda felt sorry for her.
Similarly, 2 faves, character actor Michael Weston as Enos & James Roday (who IS from Tx.) as a random villain are horribly miscast & DON'T read as Southern boys🧵👇

I wanted to like The Rats: A Witcher Tale because by-and-large I love Netflix's adaptation of the Witcher stories. There are three key problems: this is a flashback narrative, which means the fates of the characters are already known to the audience; Dolph Lundgren is woefully miscast;

We were just talking about this film last night. I walked in being SO TIRED of Batman and thinking R-Pats was completely miscast. Within 20 minutes I was all in and realized I wasn't tired of Batman movies, I was tired of bad Batman movies. The Batman rules.

I agree he's miscast as Bond, but there is so much in the film that makes up for it

oh, you really went deep. also, i get it about THE WAY WE WERE, it makes me so sad whenever i watch it (and yet i've seen it several times). also GATSBY is bad (and he's a bit miscast). and very valid re: the mcu films, but i will say THE WINTER SOLDIER is very good (and i hate those films)

Un miscast de haut vol. Surtout quand Emmanuel Jacomy est pris pour les bandes-annonces. Encore du beau star talent de merde.

'...it's fun to see Kerry Washington and Andrew Scott in these bit parts, but they are given tremendously little to do, are essentially miscast, and just like in Glass Onion, they do not feel like people so much as caricatures of people whom Rian Johnson wants to write a couple jokes around...'
