#MANAGE
Well all the other first world countries manage to fund universal healthcare, so it must be possible for us too.

Considering there is a rather significant chance my mum will die before I manage to travel home (booked tickets way too soon, not changeable) and I had a job interview but very probably I will end up second (with one position available), I fully agree with the mood check

I appreciate this bundle because the connecting factor here (aside from 2K) seems to be that they're two yearly franchises that somehow manage to get worse with every installment (because 2K).

Our government spent like crazy during WWII in a fully employed war economy and used a variety of tools to manage inflation

Including reducing bank lending, especially for speculative purpose

I am still confused by how in a modern OS I can't trivially limit how much CPU time, disk bandwidth and network bandwidth an app gets to use. It should be right there in the Task Manager. Like - that's the whole point of an OS - to manage that stuff. So why not let ME THE USER manage that stuff?

But they did manage to capture the White House. All without firing a single shot. So there is that...

STIs? what STIs? people should manage their own risk. cold and flu? those are seasonal so why is anyone surprised? no need to waste resources tracking anything. measles? it's already back so what is there to know?

these are the people that said you don't need to mask anymore
The Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) has issued a proposal to stop tracking Long COVID at community health centers - making it much more difficult to track trends and identify disparities in access, diagnosis, and treatment in community health.

I would love to totally finish my novel and maybe format/submit a chapbook. But! With the baby being, well, a baby, I’m going to just aim for continuing to write regularly and call it a win if I manage to do that.
My 2026 writing goal is to finally finish this novel in the first half and then write weird shit for the second half. What's your writing goal?

Yeeeah, but if there's 8 people each with 4+ statuses on them (both positive and negative) and I'm peering at them to see which have white bars.... that's precious seconds I'm not watching hp bars or the floor for templates...

I imagine most people can manage it, but I'm finding it a struggle T__T

Seriously. Every time something breaks at work it's time to learn something new. Need to manage a cart of iPads in a different way for a specific class? Time to figure that puzzle out!

These people are boring as hell.

Somalia and Türkiye sign a strategic agreement to regulate fishing and develop Somalia’s blue economy, creating a joint venture (SOMTURK) to manage licenses, monitoring, and marine protection.

A major step toward sustainable fisheries, maritime sovereignty, and long-term economic growth.

Our captain Birdseye will be tracking you down in a small outboard motored Dinghy, I suggest using the skies if you can manage to evade the drones and broadcast helicopters.

In this sense we have crossed the rubicon of American fascism, even if we somehow manage to step back from the edge of this abyss. Even that optimistic outcome appears increasingly unlikely, as the stakes & consequences of losing power for the fascists now grow greater & greater. Could they let go?

My wife and I are in the middle of a little crunch. In addition to our first job we also manage the rural museum of our village and we’re currently restructuring the main exhibition which hadn’t changed under our predecessor’s leadership for more than 15 years.
